The operating speed of a hole seeder is generally 8 to 10 km/h, and some models can reach 11 to 12 km/h; the width of a single machine is generally 6 to 9 meters (8 to 12 rows), and some models can reach 12 meters (16 rows). In order to increase the unit width, 3 to 5 seeders can be connected in parallel to make the total width of the rice seeder reach 12 to 15m or even wider. However, the actual working width depends on the traction that the tractor can exert at a higher working speed, and the suspended rice seeder is also limited by the lifting capacity of the tractor's suspension device.

Maintenance methods:

1. Before operation, the rice seeder should be filled with oil in time at each oiling point to ensure that the running parts are fully lubricated. Lost or damaged parts should be replenished, replaced and repaired in time. Be careful not to oil the gears and chains to avoid sticking and increasing wear.

2. The working length of all seeding wheels is equal and the displacement is consistent. The seeding amount adjustment mechanism is flexible and must not slide or move in vain.

3. The disc of the disc trencher should rotate flexibly and must not shake or rub the trencher body.

4. Before, during and after each shift, the dirt of all parts should be cleaned, and special attention should be paid to removing dirt and oil on the transmission system.

5. After each shift, the fertilizer in the fertilizer box should be cleaned to avoid corrosion of the fertilizer box and fertilizer discharge parts. Check whether the seed and fertilizer discharge shafts rotate flexibly.

6. After each shift, the rice seeder should be parked in a dry and covered shed. When parking in the open air, cover the seed and fertilizer box tightly. When parking, put down the trencher, put down the bracket, and stably support the body to reduce unnecessary loads on the rice seeder frame.
