Yongxiang Deepens Long-term Industry-University Cooperation with Huazhong Agricultural University

On July 31, a team of experts led by Dean Liao Qingxi from Huazhong Agricultural University visited Hubei Yongxiang Agricultural Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd. Company representatives accompanied the team throughout the visit. Building on a solid foundation of long-standing industry-academia-research cooperation, both parties inspected new machinery, discussed project progress, and planned for talent cultivation and long-term collaborative development.

Yongxiang Agricultural Machinery has maintained a close relationship with Huazhong Agricultural University since formally signing an industry-academia-research cooperation agreement in 2018. During this visit, Dean Liao’s team first toured the company’s brand exhibition hall, focusing on 26 newly launched agricultural machinery models and gaining a comprehensive understanding of the design highlights and application advantages of equipment tailored for grain and oil crop cultivation.

Following the tour, the two parties held a symposium focusing on three core topics: first, reviewing the implementation progress of joint integrated research projects, clarifying phased tasks and specific division of labor to ensure orderly project advancement and the successful translation of research outcomes; second, finalizing arrangements for the joint training of "excellent engineers" to cultivate applied technical talent in the agricultural machinery sector; and third, planning for comprehensive, in-depth future cooperation. By leveraging the university's academic and research strengths alongside the company's industrialization platform, they aim to expand collaboration in the innovative R&D of cultivation equipment and the demonstration and promotion of new technologies, while establishing a mechanism for regular communication and collaboration.

This visit has further solidified the foundation of the university-industry partnership. Moving forward, Yongxiang Agricultural Machinery will continue to join hands with Huazhong Agricultural University to drive agricultural machinery upgrades through technological innovation and build development momentum through joint talent cultivation.
